On the 24th and 25th of April, 2004, around 100 directors of the kindergarten across Anhui province came to our campus in a bid to strengthen the exchanges in the field of bilingual education. On the morning of April 25, the guests were warmly greeted by the children, the faculty and Ms An, the director of Run’an Bilingual Education Kindergarten. Ten Minutes Conversation class and the morning exercises both left a deep impression on the visitors. Then, the staff exchanged the viewswith thevisiting directors on how to improve the quality education and bilingual education in kindergartens. As the head of the kindergarten, Ms An answered all the questions from the guests. At 9:00, the visitors attended a presentation titled “ The Development and Spreading of Bilingual Education in China, given by Mr Wang, the former visiting scholar of Gloucester University, U.K.. Afterwards, the guests observed a Grade One class given by Bonfeng, one of the American teachers.
