Analysis of the Teaching Material
| What: The topic of this module is "Sports". Under this theme, dialogues and texts set the scene and present the conversation that introduce their feelings about sports through different situations. Based on the last years’ learning about English, students may be familiar with the events, these contents can arouse their curiosity and make it easier for them to participate in teaching activities. Around this theme, teachers can also allow students to learn about ways of talking about sports, which can help them better learning English and learn some ways about improving their spoken skills. Why: This unit is a listening and speaking class. The dialogue content is to discuss their different feeling about sports ---Watching or playing, mainly using the scene setting to discuss how to express and talk about their feelings and learn some patterns about sports. Other activities also revolve around this theme. How: The dialogue mainly uses the scene setting to discuss and learn some patterns about describing the sports and the feelings. Teaching should go further than beginners and provide sufficient language training. | ||||

培优学生:八(3)班----姜旻妤
姜旻妤同学是八3班基础知识相对扎实的学生,学习主动性很高,性格比较沉稳。布置的作业任务按时完成的同时也追求质量。包括笔记也是会主动积极的完成并且时不时会复习。因此,在学习M3U1这个单元时,我首先要求孩子准备好笔记,对单词进行预习背诵记忆,熟练后进行背默,听写了解掌握情况。然后在课堂授课中要求笔记完成到位,课下及时来背诵一些重点短语和重点句型。接着课上带孩子们完成本单元相应习题时多给予她关注,适当给她一些符合她英语基础的拔高题来回答,并及时鼓励。进行语法知识的复习与巩固时,课下会喊她到办公室提问。
