[What] 本课是外研版九年级上册第一模块第一单元的听说课,对话的内容是以托尼、玲玲等人收听《世界奇观》节目并拨打电话参与讨论为场景,介绍了巨人之路、维多利亚瀑布、三峡大坝和兵马俑等著名的景观。在这样一个令人喜欢的话题中,有效地复习了各种时态、并从对话中获取有关世界奇观的事实性信息和观点类信息。

[Why] 本课借助对话能让学生感知如何运用不同形式的语言准确、得体地发表个人观点,同时尊重他人的不同意见。帮助学生了解世界自然景观的奇特,感悟人文景观的伟大。该对话涉及学生比较感兴趣的人与自然话题,借助文本中的核心词汇:join in the discussion,   natural wonder, even more fantastic等来对世界奇观加以描述,从而达到语言知识的灵活掌握。通过学习本单元,学生不仅可以知晓世界自然景观之奇特,也可以感悟到人文景观之伟大。

[How] 在本课教学活动中,老师可以利用多媒体素材,如世界奇观视频影音进行热身,为新课学习营造教学氛围。在课中,通过播放课文语音和视频使学生明确了解对话内容,熟悉对话中人物的事实性信息和观点类信息的表达,组织学生分组朗读模仿对话,在小组合作交流中进行语言项目的操练。这样学生可以通过思考,交流和合作等方式,更好的学习和使用英语,完成任务。

九年级学生已具备一定的英语基础,本单元这一话题正是他们所喜欢的学习内容,很好地激发学生的学习兴趣和参与意识。尽管学生的学习基础不同,只要是在预设任务时注意问题的梯度,他们中每一位学生都可以围绕本话题有话可说,还可在交流讨论中发表自己的观点。此外,他们善于自我展示,乐于在小组合作这种轻松愉快的教学活动中,体验到语言学习乐趣。

Reflection --- 辅弱 八1班陈瑜杰

陈瑜杰的听力和发音一直以来是他英语学习的弱项,现在进入九年级,课文的篇幅比之前要长,生词较多,所以我在上课的时候会多放录音,多读课文,并加强听说的训练,提高学生的听和说的能力。在课堂上,根据学生的个体差异,对不同程度的学生设计不同水平的问题, 比如陈瑜杰同学,因为他的学习成绩一直处于班级中等偏下,所以我会设置一些偏为基础的题目,保证他能够答对,不仅提升他的基础知识还能促进他学习英语的自信心。课后,抓好课余时间做好个别辅导工作同样重要,陈瑜杰同学不仅仅是我的学生还是我的育儿,所以我会多和他谈心、多鼓励、及时地进行心理沟通。对于他的努力和进步给予肯定,同时指出需要改进的地方。个别辅导是加强师生沟通、真切了解学生、帮助学生尤其是后进生提高学习成绩的最有效的方法,但需要教师付出更多的爱心、耐心和信心。
