Analysis   of the Teaching Material

 

What:   This   lesson focuses on enabling students to write a report on world population   change verbally or in writing through the listening and reading task.

Why: The discussion of   demographic changes can be expressed with large numbers, and through   dialogue, it can be achieved to use large numbers for oral communication and   summarize the use of large numbers.

How: Through the learning of the dialogue content of this unit,   students can achieve the purpose of oral communication with large numbers. Teachers   should guide students to express their own opinions in communication, which   is not only conducive to students’ better use of textbook knowledge, but also   can achieve the purpose of improving students’ comprehensive language skills.

Analysis   of the Target Students

 

Students   have mastered certain vocabulary and sentence patterns in terms of knowledge   accumulation, and they can learn to summarize the use of large numbers in   oral communication.

Through   dialogue of population changes and talk about the corresponding problems   brought about by population changes, they can analyze the trend and impact of   population changes.

Teaching   objectives

1.   Complete the form to get the demographic change that Tony and Lingling talked   about in the conversation and the impact of demographic change.

2.   Based on the content of the conversation, pay attention to and summarize the   expression of large numbers, internalize and try to use informal words that   appear in the conversation (e.g., I can’t believe it., hang on a minute, I   see., thanks for the information, etc.).

3.   Use relevant language expressions, ask questions and answers in the group,   talk about the world demographic change and the corresponding problems brought   about by it, and be able to analyze the trend and impact of China’s   demographic change.

培优 1 张克凡

张克凡同学的基本功较为扎实,学习态度端正。他还需要从学习方法上下功夫,所以可以从四个方面对他进行培优。

一、强化词汇与语法基础:

词汇积累方面,我鼓励张克凡建立自己的词汇本,每天记录并学习10-15个新词,尤其是教材中出现的关键单词和短语。

同时,我提议他利用在家假期的碎片时间复习词汇,如使用手机应用进行单词记忆,以提高记忆效率。

语法深化方面,我要求他要重点学习较为复杂的时态、语态及从句等语法要点,通过大量实践巩固语法知识。并且我鼓励他尝试分析复杂句子的结构,提高语法运用的准确性和流畅度。

二、拓展阅读与写作:

广泛阅读:

我推荐张同学阅读英文原著如哈利波特以及英文报纸杂志,以拓展知识面和词汇量。

同时我鼓励其阅读并讨论英文文章的主题、结构和作者观点,培养批判性思维能力。

三、单独辅导:

对张同学在英语学习中遇到瓶颈的情况我会利用课间时间进行单独辅导,帮助其找到问题所在并提供解决方案。并且我鼓励张同学和班上其他的优等生进行相互帮助和学习,形成良性竞争和合作氛围。
